We have stripped, and sanded this stunning piece back to the wood, polished and waxed it.
The design is simple and striking, and created using my own original design. This is a one off sideboard. In creating this new piece I hope to celebrate the craftsmanship of the old, whilst creating a contemporary, functional and beautiful piece of furniture for a home. The cabinet is vintage G-Plan. It was one of the first sideboards to be produced after the war, and has a great utilitarian feel to it, it's called Brandon.
There are three tones to the wood. The doors and top are oak veneered, and the sides have a very dynamic stripe to the wood grain. I have left the two thin side panels in their original vanished state to hint to its history.

There is a cupbaord with a shelf to the left, a deep drawer at the bottom with dividers and a wide cupboard with a removeable shelf on the right hand side.
